Support for 2030 Busan World Expo Bid and Donation of Proceeds
Busan City announced that the ‘2023 Maum Park Seri World Match’ will be held on October 7 at Busan Stonegate CC.
The ‘2023 Maum Park Seri World Match’ is a golf tournament hosted by the Park Seri Hope Foundation, where LPGA domestic and international legend players, KLPGA star players, as well as famous sports stars and artists will gather in one place to compete.
▲ LPGA legends such as Park Seri, Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb, Michelle Wie ▲ K-Golf legends like Choi Na-yeon, Kim Ha-neul, Park Ji-eun ▲ Sports stars including tennis player Lee Hyung-taek, swimmer Park Tae-hwan, K-League legend Lee Dong-gook, Olympic shooting gold medalist Jin Jong-oh, and the eternal table tennis queen Hyun Jung-hwa, among many other famous figures, are expected to participate.
The competition will be conducted as a team event with two players per team (Foursome play) and will be broadcast through JTBC GOLF.
Additionally, this tournament will feature participation from oriental painter Jeong Hae-yoon and ‘Red Landscape’ author Lee Se-hyun, promising a variety of attractions not only in sports but also in the field of arts.
Especially with the decision on the host country for the 2030 World Expo approaching in November, and since the tournament is held in Busan, participants will unite in support of Busan’s bid.
The proceeds generated from the tournament will be donated in the names of the winning team players to organizations that promote the coexistence of sports, culture, and arts.
