President Yoon: "We Will Never Forget the Dedication of the Elders Who Protected the Free Republic of Korea"
President Yoon Suk-yeol stated on the 2nd, in celebration of Senior Citizens' Day, "We will not forget the dedication of the elders who defended the Republic of Korea from communist forces and laid the foundation for growth based on liberal democracy and a market economy."
On the same day, President Yoon said through social media (SNS), "The freedom and prosperity we enjoy today are thanks to the blood and sweat of our elders."
He continued, "The government will continue to carefully monitor and support the elders to ensure they face no inconveniences," and promised, "We will firmly protect the free Republic of Korea that the elders have so dearly preserved."
