The second pair, doubles world No. 2 Lee So-hee (Incheon International Airport) and Baek Ha-na (MG Saemaeul Geumgo), made a comeback after losing the first set to defeat the world No. 10 pair Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai 2-1 (23-25 21-13 21-5).
In the following singles match, world No. 18 Kim Ga-eun (Samsung Life) lost 1-2 (22-24 21-14 13-21) after a close battle with world No. 16 Busanan Ongbamrungphan, but the doubles pair ranked world No. 3, Kim So-young (Incheon International Airport) and Kong Hee-yong (Jeonbuk Bank), secured the victory by defeating Benyapa Aimsaard and Nuntakarn Aimsaard (No. 11) 2-0 (21-19 21-12).
