YahyuJapan and Line to Merge in October... New Start as 'LineYahoo'

According to a report by Asahi Shimbun on the 30th, 'Yahyu Japan' and 'LINE' will merge in early October and launch a new company called 'LINE Yahoo.'
According to the report, the two companies will start anew as LINE Yahoo after merging about two and a half years after integrating their management under a holding company. Yahoo Japan is a subsidiary of Z Holdings, a Japanese joint venture created by Naver and SoftBank. The new company's president will be Takeshi Idezawa, president of Z Holdings and a former LINE executive.

After the merger, the two companies plan to link Yahoo Japan and LINE user accounts to enhance the effectiveness of advertising and other services.
