Tragedy Strikes a Man in His 50s Installing Elevator CCTV at a Nursing Home in Goseong, Gyeongnam
At around 10:55 a.m. on the 26th, a man in his 50s installing a closed-circuit television (CCTV) in an elevator at a nursing home in Ha-i-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, was caught between the elevator and the outer wall and died.
According to the police, Mr. A was working on wiring necessary for the CCTV installation while standing on top of the elevator stopped on the first floor when the elevator suddenly moved up to the second floor, causing the accident.
Mr. A was the CEO of a CCTV installation company based in Busan and was working with two employees at the time of the accident.

The police are conducting a joint investigation with the Korea Elevator Safety Agency and are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning witnesses.
