‘Maepgosu’ Taste Targeted! … Samjin Eomuk Launches 2 Types of Fire Series
Samjin Fish Cake will launch two new products in the ‘Bul Series’ on October 1st, targeting the taste buds of ‘Maepgosu’ (spicy food experts).
Recently, a spicy food craze has emerged with the rise of ‘Maepgosu’ and ‘Maepdukhu’ who seek to relieve daily stress with stimulating spicy flavors.
Reflecting this trend, Samjin Fish Cake has introduced two products in the ‘Bul Series’ featuring addictive spicy flavors.
The ‘Bul Series’ is characterized by adding spicy fire chicken sauce to Samjin Fish Cake’s signature menu items, ‘Fish Cake Croquette’ and ‘Chili Fried Fish Cake,’ delivering a fiery spicy taste.
As consumers, especially from the MZ generation, increasingly prefer tongue-tingling spiciness such as capsaicin and mala, Samjin Fish Cake planned these new products to target consumers’ tastes with a different kind of spiciness, rather than the cool and sharp heat based on Cheongyang chili peppers.
The Samjin Fish Cake ‘Bul Series’ consists of two items: ‘Bul Croquette’ and ‘Bul Chili Fried.’
‘Bul Croquette’ is filled with shrimp and various vegetables mixed with fire chicken sauce, featuring the mild and savory taste of fish cake croquette combined with the spicy and sweet flavor of the fire chicken sauce.
‘Bul Chili Fried’ contains whole chili peppers stuffed with fire chicken sauce, cream sauce, and pork, with a crunchy texture from the chili peppers. The exterior is coated with breadcrumbs containing paprika powder to emphasize the red color.
These new products were released after receiving excellent taste evaluations with scores above 4.3 out of 5 from internal Samjin Fish Cake employees during a tasting test.
The two new ‘Bul Series’ products are available at all Samjin Fish Cake nationwide directly operated stores. To celebrate the launch, Samjin Fish Cake is offering a discount event throughout October for customers who purchase the ‘Bul Chili Fried Set,’ which includes the new ‘Bul Chili Fried’ and the existing ‘Chili Fried Fish Cake’ products.
