Taxi Driver in His 50s Arrested and Sent for Prosecution for Assaulting Passenger
On the 26th, the Dongbu Police Station in Gwangju announced that taxi driver A (in his 50s) was sent to prosecution under detention on charges of assault for attacking passengers over fare disputes.
Mr. A is accused of assaulting and injuring three passengers while operating a taxi around Gwangju Metropolitan City from January to March.
It was investigated that Mr. A assaulted passengers after disputes arose when they complained about taking a longer route to the destination.
He also assaulted a passenger following an argument over reckless driving.
