Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Yeong-min) announced that the ‘2023 Gohung Nokdong Port Drone Show,’ held every Saturday as a regular performance for the first time in Jeollanam-do, will present a more special show to celebrate the upcoming Chuseok holiday.

On the evening of the 30th at 9 PM, a special Chuseok performance will be held featuring 500 drones, combining advanced technology and more three-dimensional artistic light works enhanced with fireworks.

This special performance plans to decorate the night sky of Nokdong Port more brilliantly by attaching fireworks to the swarm flight drones, showcasing three-dimensional 3D content such as ‘abundant food, swing riding, and Ganggangsullae (traditional Korean circle dance).’

Before the drone show, a traditional folk game experience area will be set up in the center of the artificial island Nokdong Sea Garden in Doyang-eup, where all visitors can enjoy games like jegichagi (shuttlecock kicking), tuho throwing, and ttakji flipping.

The Nokdong Port Drone Show is a promise made to the citizens during the 8th civilian administration and has been held every Saturday at 9 PM since May, continuing until November. It is a regular swarm flight drone show featuring 500 drones performing various themes and productions each week.

From October, the winter season, the performance time will be moved one hour earlier to 8 PM considering the sunset time.

Before the drone show, exciting busking performances with local cultural and artistic groups and local singers are also one of the popular attractions of Gohung’s weekend night tourism on Saturdays.

According to the county, excluding postponements or cancellations due to bad weather such as rain, more than 93,000 people from all over the country have visited Nokdong Port to watch the drone show in just 15 performances so far.

Governor Gong Yeong-min said, “As this drone show performance is specially prepared to provide joyful memories to returning visitors and citizen tourists visiting their hometown for the Chuseok holiday, I hope many people come to watch it and have a generous and abundant Chuseok holiday.”
