Nyangyang-gun Ipam-myeon Saemaeul Association's Warm 'Sharing Love Rice' Event for Chuseok
Saemaeul Leaders Association of Ipam-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk (President Woo Jae-yoon) and Ipam-myeon Saemaeul Women's Association (President Jang Myung-sook) held a Love Rice Sharing event on the 26th to support neighbors in need in the area ahead of the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
The Saemaeul Association of Ipam-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, held a warm rice-sharing event in celebration of Chuseok.
View original imageAt this event, about 30 members personally delivered 80 bags of love rice to marginalized and struggling neighbors in the community and exchanged Chuseok holiday greetings.
The Saemaeul organizations in Ipam-myeon take the lead every year during Lunar New Year and Chuseok by donating money and goods to marginalized neighbors in the area, sharing warm affection with residents and the village.
Woo Jae-yoon, president of the Ipam-myeon Saemaeul Leaders Association, said, “Through this Love Rice Sharing event for Chuseok, I hope our neighbors in need have a healthy and happy holiday.”
Also, Jang Myung-sook, president of the Saemaeul Women's Association, said, “By gathering small amounts of sincerity, we will continue to be a Saemaeul association that practices warm love for the village’s elderly living alone and vulnerable groups.”
