Gyeonggi Office of Education to Open Parking Lots at 1,600 Schools and Locations During Chuseok Holiday
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will open more than 1,600 parking lots at educational institutions under Gyeonggi Province, including schools, free of charge during the Chuseok holiday.
On the 26th, the Office of Education announced that from the 28th of this month to the 3rd of next month, it will open parking lots at educational institutions and schools under Gyeonggi Province free of charge to provide parking convenience for visitors returning home and local residents visiting Gyeonggi during the Chuseok holiday.
The open facilities include more than 1,600 locations such as affiliated educational institutions including the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, direct agencies, education support offices, libraries, training centers, and schools within the province. Opening hours are individually determined by each school or institution or operated all day.
Details such as whether parking lots are open and their opening hours can be checked through Gongyoo Nuri (Public Resource Sharing Service for Citizens, www.eshare.go.kr) or portal sites.
Users of the open parking lots must leave their contact information on the front of their vehicle in case of emergencies.

Lee Geun-gyu, Director of Financial Management at the Office of Education, said, "We hope that opening school facility parking lots during the Chuseok holiday will help alleviate parking difficulties in residential areas and provide convenience for visitors returning home," and added, "Since these are educational facilities, please follow the usage rules such as prohibiting damage to school facilities and illegal dumping of trash."
