Chuseok Holiday to Be Filled with Cheongwadae Cultural Events
Traditional Play Experience Event and Performances Held
Comfortable Rest Area Also Created in Yeomin 1-gwan
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation announced on the 25th that they will present special cultural events at the Blue House during the Chuseok holiday (September 28 to October 3). Traditional play experience events and traditional performances will be held at the helicopter pad, and a comfortable resting area will be set up in front of the Nokjiwon at Yeomin 1-gwan.
The traditional play experience event is called "Cheongwadae Chingching Nane (September 28?30)." Anyone can participate to enjoy games such as Tuho, rice cake pounding, and Gonggi, and can make silk tops and traditional fans. The traditional performance is titled "Cheongwadae Dyed in Autumn (October 1?3)." Against the backdrop of the autumnal Bukaksan Mountain, a lively performance will take place. Morning performances include processional music, drum dance, Gyeonggi folk songs, fan dance, and Gijeop play by the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation’s art troupe. Afternoon performances feature the Korean traditional music crossover band Eoks (October 1), the audience-participatory modern mask dance troupe Cheonhajeil Tal Gongjakso (October 2), and the performance group The Gwangdae, captivating audiences with storytelling and traditional performance arts (October 3).

The Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation will also provide a resting area at Yeomin 1-gwan to ensure a comfortable viewing environment.
