2023 Changwon Global Sharing Walkathon Held in Changwon, Gyeongnam
“Global 6K for Water!” Steps for Children Worldwide and Local Kids
The World Vision Gyeongnam-Ulsan Headquarters, together with the Gyeongnam Shafron Volunteer Group and the World Vision Changwon Branch, held a charity walkathon at 10 a.m. on the 23rd at 3.15 Haeyang Nuri Park.

View original imageSponsored by Changwon Special City, the event was held for 1,000 participants including Changwon citizens, students, and parents to support water supply projects for African children suffering from lack of clean drinking water and breakfast support projects for children facing food insecurity in the Changwon area.
The 6 km course represents the average distance children in underdeveloped countries walk to obtain drinking water. Participants experienced this distance firsthand while engaging in various activities and volunteer work, as well as visiting booths related to various climate change crises.
All participation fees were fully donated, and participants were provided with various souvenirs.
