78-Year History Daegu Chilseong Elementary Alumni Association Donates 52 Cordless Vacuum Cleaners to School
The Daegu Chilseong Elementary School Alumni Association, led by Principal Kim Gwang-sun, donated 52 cordless vacuum cleaners to the school to help the younger students study in a clean environment.
Daegu Chilseong Elementary School, established in 1939, has held 78 graduation ceremonies and produced 28,333 talented individuals who have contributed to the development of the local community and the nation. It is recognized as a prestigious elementary school representing the Buk-gu area. The alumni, who love their alma mater, show their warm hearts and deep affection for the juniors by personally preparing rollers and paint to repaint the old school buildings. They also provide scholarships every year.

View original imageThis year, Chilseong Elementary School won a gold medal in the boys' under-13 athletics track event at the 52nd National Youth Sports Festival held in Ulsan, and received the Minister of Science and ICT Award on the 56th Science Day. The school's proud baseball team has risen as a representative team of Daegu, achieving joint 3rd place in the 2023 U-12 National Youth Baseball Tournament and runner-up in the 21st Samsung Ki Elementary and Middle School Baseball Tournament.
Upon hearing the news of the Alumni Association's donation of cordless vacuum cleaners, Chilseong students expressed their joy, saying, "We can now place a vacuum cleaner in every classroom, which allows us to keep the classrooms cleaner and study in a fresher environment."
