Upstage and Metaverse Enter jointly develop Persona AI
A new path has opened to directly communicate with K-pop idols through artificial intelligence (AI).
Upstage announced on the 21st that it has signed an agreement with Metaverse Entertainment for the 'Persona AI Joint Development.' The two companies will develop a natural language-based conversational persona AI that allows interaction with the virtual idol group 'MAVE.'
MAVE, developed by Metaverse Entertainment, is a virtual human girl group created with AI. Upstage will be responsible for developing the core engine of the persona AI using its proprietary AI model 'SOLAR.' In particular, they plan to implement the unique speech styles that highlight the distinct charms of the four MAVE members. This aims to enhance the liveliness of conversations by fostering engagement with fans.
Kim Seong-hoon, CEO of Upstage, said, "It is meaningful to be the first in the industry to realize a persona AI that can converse with the virtual group MAVE." He added, "Going forward, Upstage will lead generative AI innovation in content areas such as entertainment and gaming based on the large language model (LLM) SOLAR."
