The company's subsidiary, which operates a carbon ion cancer treatment brokerage service, has gained attention following news that cancer tissue in a man in his 60s, who was the first in Korea to receive carbon ion therapy for prostate cancer, completely disappeared within a month.

According to Yonsei Cancer Hospital, a patient in his 60s diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer and treated with carbon ion therapy since April was confirmed to have all cancer tissue removed. Carbon ion therapy involves shooting carbon atoms at nearly the speed of light directly at the patient's cancer cells. It can target cancer cells more precisely and intensely than conventional radiation therapy or proton therapy devices.
Mr. Choi received a total of 12 carbon ion therapy sessions, 3 to 4 times a week starting from the end of April. He completed all treatments by mid-May, one month later, and his PSA level dropped below 0.01 ng/mL. MRI scans showed no cancer tissue, and there was no damage to surrounding organs caused by the carbon ion therapy. Yonsei Cancer Hospital also stated, "Another patient in his 60s with stage 2 prostate cancer who received carbon ion therapy on the same day as Mr. Choi was also confirmed to have all cancer tissue removed."
