Pyeongtaek Port Authority Holds Pyeongtaek Port Meeting on 20th... Over 60 Participants Including Shipping Companies
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority held the 'Pyeongtaek Port Shipping Lines and Forwarders Meeting' on the 20th at the Korea Press Center in Sogong-dong, Seoul.
At the meeting, more than 60 representatives from shipping lines, forwarders, and container terminal operators using Pyeongtaek Port attended.
Gyeonggi Province explained the cargo attraction incentive support for Pyeongtaek Port, Pyeongtaek Port port sales marketing, the Pyeongtaek Port exhibition hall, and the operation of the port guide ship, urging active use of Pyeongtaek Port.
The container throughput of Pyeongtaek Port recorded 467,000 TEU as of last July, showing about a 10% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Considering the global economic uncertainties and the continuously declining shipping freight rates, Gyeonggi Province expects difficulties to continue in the second half of the year.
