Gangdong-gu Mayor Lee Su-hee Participates in Seonsa Marathon... Running Along the Han River Enjoying Autumn Atmosphere
Lee Soo-hee, the Mayor of Gangdong-gu, personally ran as a participant in the Seonsa Marathon Festival on the 17th, cheering on participants who gathered from all over the country.
Sponsored by Gangdong-gu and organized by the Gangdong-gu Athletics Federation, the 'Seonsa Marathon Festival' was held successfully with about 2,500 participants, including local residents and marathon club members from across the nation. The event was held to wish for the successful hosting and to widely promote the 28th Seonsa Cultural Festival, which will take place from October 13 to 15.
On the day, participants ran along the Han River Park starting from the Seoul Amsa-dong archaeological site, divided into half marathon, 5km, and 10km courses. Mayor Lee Soo-hee enjoyed the beautiful autumn atmosphere of the Han River while sweating together with participants on the 5km course.
Marathon finishers in this event were awarded certificates and prizes for the top 1st to 5th places in each course by gender, and all participants received commemorative items such as medals and record certificates.
