Seongbuk-gu Completes 'Chuseok Free Vehicle Inspection'
Free Car Inspection Conducted on September 17 from 9 AM to 3 PM at One-Way Road Behind District Office Toward Seongbukcheon
Total of 535 Vehicles Inspected, Including Tire Pressure Check and Refill, Antifreeze Refill, and Washer Fluid Giveaway
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) announced that on September 17th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a 'Chuseok Free Vehicle Inspection Service' was conducted on the one-way street behind Seongbuk-gu Office and Seongbuk Police Station, towards Seongbukcheon, to ensure safe driving for residents visiting their hometowns during Chuseok.
This event was organized by the Seoul Automobile Professional Maintenance Association (CARPOS) Seongbuk-gu Branch (Branch Chief Yoon Jong-won), with over 40 skilled professionals participating to provide free vehicle inspection services to residents.
The service targeted non-commercial passenger cars and vans owned by Seongbuk-gu residents, inspecting and refilling various essential oils and washer fluids necessary for safe driving on the way home. Safety checks were conducted on braking systems, batteries, tire wear, and air pressure. Additionally, various bulbs, fuses, and wipers were inspected and replaced as needed.
On the day, a total of 535 vehicles received free inspections, with air pressure measured and refilled for all vehicles. Furthermore, antifreeze was refilled for about 300 vehicles in preparation for winter, and washer fluid was provided free of charge to approximately 230 vehicles that did not receive antifreeze service.
