A Man in His 60s Falls at Geoje Expansion Construction Site, Dies the Next Day
A man in his 60s who fell while working at an extension construction site ultimately died the day after the accident.
According to the Geoje Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 19th, the deceased, Mr. A, fell about 1.7 meters from a steel work platform at the extension construction site in Nambu-myeon, Geoje City, around 4:40 p.m. on the 16th.
Mr. A, who was seriously injured, was taken to a hospital for treatment but passed away on the 17th.
The accident occurred at the extension construction site of the Breeding Research Center, Aquaculture Industry Research Division, National Institute of Fisheries Science.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident while also examining whether there was any negligence in the line of duty by the person responsible for safety management.
