Boseong-gun Holds Traditional Market Shopping Event for Chuseok
Participation of Institutions and Organizations Maximizes Regional Economic Synergy
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that from the 19th to the 27th, over a period of 9 days, it will promote the ‘Chuseok Traditional Market Shopping Event’ at major traditional markets in Boseong-eup and Beolgyo-eup to revitalize local traditional markets struggling due to changes in the distribution environment and economic recession.
The shopping events will be held at Beolgyo Traditional Market on the 19th, and at Nokchagol Boseong Hyangto Market on the 22nd and 27th, respectively.
This event aims not only at purchasing goods but also at fostering regional harmony and revitalizing the use of traditional markets through campaigns involving various institutions, organizations, and residents.
Boseong-gun plans to help establish a rational and sound consumption culture among residents through promotions of the Boseong Love Gift Certificate and distribution campaigns of reusable shopping bags.
Additionally, reflecting the high risk of large-scale fires in traditional markets, a ‘Traditional Market Fire Mutual Aid Subscription Support Encouragement Campaign’ will be conducted, offering compensation for damages within the subscription limit at a lower cost than private property insurance.
A representative from Boseong-gun stated, “Through Chuseok shopping, we aim to invigorate the local economy, encourage small business owners who are struggling due to reduced consumption, listen to their difficulties, and devise active measures to revitalize the regional economy.”
Meanwhile, to promote consumption, Boseong-gun is selling Boseong Love Gift Certificates at 33 financial institutions including local agricultural and livestock cooperatives, with a monthly limit of 700,000 KRW and a 10% discount.
