Incheon Airport Corporation Holds Meeting for Win-Win Development with Small and Medium Enterprises
28 CEOs of Small and Medium Enterprises Attend
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 15th that it held a meeting on the 13th at the conference room of the Korea Federation of SMEs in Mapo, Seoul, to promote win-win cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the airport industry. The meeting was attended by Lee Jae-hoon, head of the Airport Industry Research Institute of the corporation, along with representatives and officials from 28 SMEs that have cooperative relationships with the corporation, totaling about 30 people.
The meeting was held to share the results of joint R&D (research and development) projects promoted by the corporation and SMEs and to explore ways of mutual cooperation. The event proceeded with sharing the status of the Incheon Airport joint R&D projects and Tech Market platform operations, guidance on comprehensive support systems for SMEs, sharing of achievements, and listening to opinions.

During the opinion listening session, various suggestions were made, including requests to expand joint R&D projects for new technologies proposed directly by SMEs and technology demonstration support projects (Incheon Airport testbed). In response, the corporation stated, “We will review the opinions of the participating companies and actively seek to expand the implementation of these projects in the future. After the development of new technologies and completion of technology demonstrations, we also plan to support domestic and international promotion and market development of these technologies, thereby further strengthening public-private cooperation.”

Lee Hak-jae, president of Incheon International Airport Corporation, said, “As the global demand for air travel is increasing recently, the demand for new technologies in the airport industry is also rising. Therefore, we plan to expand customized support systems for SMEs and provide Incheon Airport infrastructure as a testbed to promote innovative growth of private companies and actively support the development of overseas markets.”
