Opening Ceremony of 'Jinjang Shelter' at Jinjang D-Plex in Buk-gu
The second mobile worker rest area in Buk-gu, Ulsan, is set to open.
On the 15th at 3 p.m., Ulsan City announced that the "2nd Jinjang Mobile Worker Rest Area Opening Ceremony" will be held at Jinjang Diflex in Buk-gu, attended by Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, City Council Chairman Kim Ki-hwan, Buk-gu District Mayor Park Cheon-dong, representatives of the two major labor unions, city council members, and about 20 others.
The "Jinjang Mobile Worker Rest Area" is Ulsan's second mobile worker rest area following the Daldong Mobile Worker Rest Area. It was selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's national project "Platform Workers Workplace Improvement Support Project" and was established at Jinjang Diflex Unit 1094, covering an area of 127㎡, with a total project cost of 270 million KRW.
The rest area is equipped with various facilities and supplies, including a communal lounge, women's lounge, body composition (InBody) analyzer, computers, and chargers.
The target users are workers who do not have fixed workplaces and frequently work on the move, such as delivery couriers, quick service workers, delivery drivers (riders), private tutors, and substitute drivers.
The operating hours are from 1 p.m. daily until 6 a.m. the next day, excluding weekends and public holidays.

An official from Ulsan City stated, "The Jinjang Mobile Worker Rest Area aims to address the hardships of mobile workers during late nights, extreme cold, and heat, providing a resting space to improve working conditions. In the future, it plans to expand into a multifunctional space by offering various labor-related counseling services, health support projects, and cultural programs."
