Dump Truck Hit Pedestrians While Avoiding Car in Front in Yangsan... 1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured

At around 8:35 a.m. on the 14th, a 25.5-ton dump truck hit one vehicle and two pedestrians on a road near Soto-ri, Sangbuk-myeon, Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the Yangsan Police Station, a man in his 60s, Mr. A, who was near a crosswalk at the time of the accident, suffered severe head injuries and was transported to the hospital but ultimately passed away.
Another pedestrian, a man in his 70s, Mr. B, sustained serious injuries, and the driver of the vehicle in front of the truck, a woman in her 50s, Ms. C, suffered minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment.
CCTV footage from the scene showed the truck urgently moving to the right to avoid a stopped passenger car, during which the vehicle, a CCTV support pole, and safety fences were damaged.
The pedestrians were workers at a landscaping company in Yangsan and were on the sidewalk after finishing brush clearing work near Yangsancheon when the accident occurred.
The truck driver was found not to be under the influence of alcohol.
