Muan-gun Holds 2023 Second Half Major Priority Projects Progress Report Meeting

On the 11th, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) held a second half report meeting on the progress of 37 major key projects.

At the meeting, focused discussions were held on the progress of each project since the first half report meeting and future implementation plans.

The major key projects promoted by Muan-gun cover various fields such as future growth engines leading regional development in the 7th to 8th local government terms and resident living SOC.

In particular, the Muan-eup Complex Cultural Center construction project on the site of the old 5-day market in Muan-eup, the relocation and reconstruction of the Muan-gun Health Center, the Muan-eup Urban Regeneration New Deal project, and the MRO aviation specialized complex project are scheduled for completion within this year.

Once the Complex Cultural Center, Health Center relocation, and Urban Regeneration projects are completed, it is expected that the cultural, health, and living infrastructure of Muan-eup will be dramatically improved. The MRO aviation specialized complex is expected to serve as a foundation for the development of the regional aviation logistics industry in connection with Muan International Airport, a key international airport in the southwestern region.

Governor Kim San, who presided over the report, urged, “Please make efforts to continuously check the progress of major projects, identify problems in underperforming projects, devise countermeasures, and promote projects with a sense of speed and improve their completeness.”
