Gyeonggi-do Conducts Inspection of Unpaid Wages and Safety Management at Railway Construction Sites Ahead of Chuseok
Gyeonggi Province will conduct inspections on wage arrears and safety management at railway construction sites from the 15th to the 25th of this month ahead of Chuseok.
The inspection targets are a total of seven railway construction sites directly managed by Gyeonggi Province, including Byeollae Line sections 3, 4, 5, and 6, and Dobongsan-Ogjeong Line sections 1, 2, and 3.
Gyeonggi Province will form seven joint inspection teams, including the Construction Project Management Group, to focus on checking the actual status of wage arrears at railway construction sites, fire-vulnerable facilities, and safety management conditions.
The main inspection items include ▲whether there are arrears in workers' wages, subcontractor payments, and equipment fees ▲traffic management measures such as detours during the holiday period ▲status of securing and managing flood control equipment and materials ▲safety accident prevention measures such as fire and flooding ▲tidiness around construction sites and whether pedestrian passage is obstructed ▲maintenance of emergency contact networks and designation of personnel for follow-up actions in case of accidents.
