"Expecting a Rebound in the Second Half... Full Support for Talent Recruitment"
The Korea Display Industry Association announced on the 13th that it will operate the 'Display Excellent Companies Online Recruitment Center,' opened on the recruitment portal site Saramin, until the end of December.
The online recruitment center introduces advanced materials, parts, and equipment companies in the display industry. It provides recruitment information, each company's talent requirements, welfare benefits, and hiring procedures.
From March to August, 51 companies including Mirae Company and H&Eluza posted about 2,400 job announcements on the online recruitment center. Approximately 36,000 people applied, and 183 were hired. The association expects the number of hires in the second half of the year to increase further.
Additionally, the association operates the 'Display Job Matching System (Displayer)' on an ongoing basis. It supports the introduction of company recruitment information and registration of job seekers' talents. Through customized talent searches for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking employees, it provides opportunities for companies to secure talent.
They also held an offline fair. Before the second half recruitment season, from the 16th to the 18th of last month, the '7th Display Recruitment Fair' was held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Twenty-one companies including Samsung Display and LG Display participated, with over 80 domestic and international universities and about 600 visitors attending.
Last year, the focus was on recruitment consultations for specific large companies, but this year, one-on-one recruitment consultations were conducted, receiving positive responses from participating companies, the association reported.
The association expects display companies' performance to rebound in the second half of the year. In such times, they plan to secure high-quality talent to support industrial promotion.
Lee Dong-wook, the association's vice chairman, said, "With a rebound in performance expected in the second half, the industry will accelerate talent acquisition to lay the foundation for bold business transformation and long-term growth, and we plan to continuously promote various support programs."
