Latest Automation Systems Applied Throughout the Entire Logistics Process
hy is set to begin operations after completing construction of the Nonsan logistics center.
On the morning of the 13th, hy held a completion ceremony for the Nonsan logistics center at the Dongsan Industrial Complex in Yeonmu-eup, Nonsan City, attended by about 40 people including Kim Byung-jin, CEO and President of hy, and Baek Seong-hyun, Mayor of Nonsan.
The Nonsan logistics center was established to meet the increasing logistics demand as hy's new business "delivery service" is being fully launched. Construction began in May last year and was completed in one year and five months. The total investment amount is 55 billion KRW.
The Nonsan logistics center is built on a site of 13,571 pyeong with a total floor area of 8,310 pyeong and consists of three floors. The maximum annual processing capacity is 20 million cases. The entire process from storage to shipment applies the latest automation systems to improve work efficiency. A refrigerated storage warehouse has been established to handle everything from room temperature to fresh logistics. With excellent accessibility to major cities nationwide including the Seoul metropolitan area, it is expected to greatly contribute to enhancing hy's delivery competitiveness.
With the acquisition of this new logistics hub, hy plans to focus on attracting consignors. The strengths include next-day delivery capability and a cold chain system that connects refrigerated electric carts called Kokoro from the logistics center.
