Yeongsangang Cheong, Illegal Wastewater Discharge Facilities Caught in Summer Season
The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office announced on the 12th that it has identified seven businesses illegally discharging wastewater.
From June to August, the Yeongsangang Office conducted special inspections on 35 wastewater discharge facilities and sewage treatment facilities within campgrounds in the jurisdiction.
This was carried out as part of the "Summer Season Environmental Pollution Act Special Surveillance" to prevent acts such as secretly discharging wastewater during heavy rainfall periods.
The main violations included one case exceeding the wastewater discharge permit standards, one case of failure to report changes in wastewater discharge facilities, one case of failure to prepare operation logs for wastewater discharge facilities, and five cases of neglecting broken or damaged air pollution prevention facilities.
