Lee Hyung-il, Commissioner of Statistics Korea, visited Oseon Elementary School in Eumseong-gun, Chungbuk, on the 12th to conduct a special lecture for the 'Visiting Statistics Classroom.'
The Visiting Statistics Classroom is a program where teams of 3 to 5 university students provide customized statistics lessons at nearby schools. The goal is to offer an easy and enjoyable statistics learning experience, foster proper statistical thinking, and strengthen statistical capabilities.
On this day, four university student teachers taught 23 students in grades 5 and 6 basic statistical concepts, graphs, and how to create statistical posters. Commissioner Lee Hyung-il introduced common statistical errors and pitfalls, as well as interesting cases of statistics application.
