52 Baeknyeongage Stores Now Open at Rest Areas Nationwide
The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 12th that it signed an 'Agreement to Revitalize Century-old Restaurants at Highway Rest Areas' with Korea Expressway Corporation and the Korea Highway Rest Area Facilities Association at the Chilgok Rest Area in Gyeongbuk.
Each organization agreed to revitalize century-old restaurants at highway rest areas to improve food quality and attract representative local delicacies. They also plan to cooperate in activities promoting mutual growth for small business owners.
The Small Enterprise and Market Service will support the development and use of Brand Identity (BI) for century-old restaurant stores within highway rest areas, as well as provide consulting and promotional assistance.
Korea Expressway Corporation will discover and support businesses to attract century-old restaurants to highway rest areas. The Rest Area Facilities Association will cooperate in all aspects of supporting the entry of century-old restaurants into rest areas.
Through Korea Expressway Corporation’s 'One Rest Area, One Premium Food Project,' 52 century-old restaurants have been established nationwide at rest areas. Six more are preparing to open.
