Posco Flow Receives Praise for Career Experience Program Targeting Port Logistics Workers
Meeting with Current Employees, Application Coaching, and Mock Interview Setup
POSCO Flow (President Kim Kwang-su) announced that on the 6th, it conducted a 'Career Experience Program' for students at Korea Port Logistics High School (hereinafter referred to as Port Logistics High School) located in Gwangyang City.
POSCO Flow is the integrated logistics corporation of the POSCO Group and is a preferred company for many job seekers aspiring to grow as logistics professionals.
Based on POSCO Flow’s expertise in recruiting and training logistics professionals, the 'Career Experience Program' was held to strengthen the employment capabilities of students at Port Logistics High School, the only Meister high school specializing in port logistics in Korea.
The program consisted of meetings with current employees, resume coaching, mock interviews, and writing a personal growth story.
It provided practical assistance and received positive feedback from students preparing for employment by explaining the departments and systems of logistics companies, actual job duties, and preparation for joining the company.
Starting two weeks before the program, students wrote their own resumes so that POSCO Flow HR staff could provide resume coaching. Additionally, students who had acquired logistics equipment skills at Port Logistics High School had the opportunity to meet with current port facility staff from POSCO Flow for job explanations and Q&A sessions.
Students who completed the program expressed gratitude that a company they aspire to join visited their high school to explain the company and job roles in an easy-to-understand manner. They said, “Above all, it was meaningful to directly and indirectly experience a logistics company through meetings with current employees working in the field,” and “The mock interviews provided a valuable opportunity to learn about my weaknesses and how to better promote myself.”
