Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok Attends Jeonnam District Junior Chamber Members' Meeting
Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, attended the 2023 53rd Jeonnam District Junior Chamber International (JCI) Members' Convention held at Suncheon Palma Gymnasium on the 10th, and expressed his gratitude for their efforts in regional development.
According to Jeollanam-do, the convention, hosted by the Jeonnam District JCI and organized by the Suncheon City JCI, was attended by about 1,000 members including Jeollanam-do Assembly members Park Won-jong and Jin Ho-geon, Suncheon Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu, and JCI members from cities and counties across Jeollanam-do.
The event proceeded in the order of the Namdo Youth Awards ceremony, congratulatory speeches, and the Governor’s Commendation for outstanding members who led community development and volunteer work.
Governor Kim Young-rok said, “The Jeonnam District JCI has led social contribution activities with the spirit of sharing and consideration, creating a warm and healthy society, and has greatly contributed to regional development through the passionate enthusiasm and united strength of local youth. On behalf of the 2 million residents of Jeollanam-do, I extend my congratulations and gratitude.”

The Jeonnam District JCI was founded in 1969 to realize its four main goals: leadership cultivation, community development, friendship with the world, and corporate capability enhancement. Currently, over 1,000 members across 26 regions participate in community development activities such as the campaign “Water, the Source of Life! Let’s Practice Generosity with Youth” and a musical for preventing juvenile crime.
