Group BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) has dominated the Japanese Oricon charts with his first solo album.
According to the latest chart released by Japan's Oricon (dated September 8), V's solo album 'Layover,' released on the 8th, ranked number one on the 'Daily Album Ranking' with sales of 221,491 copies.
The album's title track 'Slow Dancing' also topped the 'Daily Digital Single Ranking,' allowing V to conquer two charts?physical album and digital single?simultaneously upon his solo album release.
Additionally, the album tracks 'Blue,' 'For Us,' and 'Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.)' ranked 4th to 6th respectively on the 'Daily Digital Single Ranking.'
Moreover, 'Slow Dancing' was streamed 4,743,367 times on September 8, according to the latest chart from Spotify, the world's largest music streaming service, ranking 11th on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart on September 9.
As of 7 a.m. on the 9th, 'Slow Dancing' ranked number one on the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 75 countries/regions worldwide, and 'Layover' topped the iTunes 'Top Albums' chart in 65 countries/regions globally.
