Gyeongnam Technopark, participating in the Poland Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO 2023), signed a "Mutual Memorandum of Understanding for Continuous Defense Cooperation" with PGZ (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa), a Polish state-owned defense company group, on the 7th.
According to Gyeongnam Province on the 8th, the two organizations agreed to work together to establish a defense cooperation system in the future and to enhance mutual competitiveness by strengthening the technological capabilities of defense companies in Gyeongnam and companies under the Polish PGZ group.
The signing ceremony held at the PGZ group’s promotional hall at the defense exhibition was attended by Jakub Roszkowski, Vice President of PGZ Group, and Dongwoo Noh, Head of the Defense Industry Headquarters at Gyeongnam Technopark.

Established in 1980, the PGZ Group is Poland’s largest state-owned enterprise with 31 subsidiaries.
Last year, it signed large-scale export contracts with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), Hyundai Rotem, and Hanwha Aerospace, collaborating on local production, subsequent military logistics support, and joint weapon development.
Gyeongnam Technopark established its Defense Industry Headquarters in January this year and plays a central role in fostering the local defense industry by supporting projects such as nurturing small and medium-sized defense companies in Gyeongnam and improving defense export productivity in the province.
The province explained that although the PGZ Group has signed MOUs with several domestic defense system companies, this is the first time it has signed an MOU with a public institution supporting the overall regional industry, represented by Gyeongnam Technopark.
