Top Marksmen from Across the Country Gather in Changwon... Opening of the 'National Police Chief's Cup Shooting Competition'
Over 3,000 Participants from 418 Teams at Changwon International Shooting Range
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced that the "32nd National Shooting Competition hosted by the Commissioner General of the National Police Agency" successfully opened on the 8th at the Changwon International Shooting Range.
Co-hosted by the National Police Agency and the Korea Shooting Federation, this competition will be held for seven days from the opening ceremony on the 8th until the 14th.
More than 3,000 athletes from 418 teams nationwide are participating, competing in a total of 31 events across middle school, high school, university, general, and disabled divisions.
This competition also serves as the selection trial for the 2023-2024 national team (and equivalent) and international competition dispatch players. It is also the final opportunity for national team players participating in the Hangzhou Asian Games to assess their skills.

View original imageNow in its 32nd year, the National Police Commissioner’s Cup Shooting Competition was established in 1992 as part of the 47th Police Day anniversary event. Since then, it has fostered and selected safety personnel resources, contributed to the development of the sports culture industry of national institutions, and has become one of the five major domestic shooting competitions.
The Changwon International Shooting Range is an urban shooting range equipped with world-class international facilities. With scientifically designed flow lines and advanced facilities, it is expected to greatly contribute to improving the performance of athletes participating in the competition.
