Recently returning as an active athlete, Professor Lee visited the county office on the 5th, met with County Governor Shim Min, and began his role as an ambassador for ㈜Chinhan F&B, a local company producing sausages and chicken breast products using excellent Imsil cheese.
Lee Won-hee was a legendary athlete in the men’s 73kg judo category, winning gold medals at the 2003 Jeju Asian Championships, the Osaka World Championships, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and the 2006 Doha Asian Games.
In 2003, he set a remarkable record of 48 consecutive wins in domestic and international competitions and won 43 matches by ippon, earning the nickname ‘The Man of Ippon Victory.’ After retiring, he made a comeback as an active athlete after 15 years.
During a time when it is difficult to have hope and vision, Lee Won-hee’s return is expected to inspire many people with courage and dreams that they can try again.
Governor Shim Min said, “The news that Lee Won-hee is promoting Imsil cheese-based food products will greatly help the nationwide branding of Imsil N Cheese,” adding, “It is expected to be an opportunity for Imsil cheese and cheese-based products to become widely known across the country.”
Lee Won-hee responded, “By chance, I tried products made with Imsil cheese and chicken breast, and they were so delicious that I formed a connection with the manufacturing company. I will do my best as an ambassador to promote the county and these products while actively competing as an athlete.”
Seung-kwan Jung, CEO of ㈜Chinhan F&B, said, “The partnership with Professor Lee Won-hee, the Man of Ippon Victory, gives us great strength, and we hope this will be a meaningful milestone for mutual growth between ㈜Chinhan F&B and Professor Lee.”
Located within the Imsil Cheese Theme Park, ㈜Chinhan F&B produces cheese-based food products such as ham, sausages, and chicken breast using Imsil N Cheese.
In 2019, the company participated in the International Meat Processing Exhibition (IFFA) held in Germany and won the most medals in Asia (17 medals) in the meat processing competition.
Chinhan F&B, certified under the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is a representative company of Imsil that recently received an Excellent Business Award at ‘HACCP KOREA 2022’ held at COEX.
