Yeongdeok-gun to Pay 300,000 Won Agricultural and Fishery Farmers' Allowance in Second Half of Year
Payment of Yeongdeok Love Gift Certificate Policy Issuance from the 11th for 2 Months
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will pay a total of 1.6908 billion KRW in the second half of the year to 5,636 residents through the local Nonghyup branches at their registered addresses over a period of two months starting from the 11th.
Recipients of the Farmer and Fisherman Allowance will receive 300,000 KRW twice a year, totaling 600,000 KRW annually, in the form of local currency, Yeongdeok Sarang Gift Certificates.
Earlier in the first half of the year, Yeongdeok-gun selected recipients who met the eligibility criteria, including agricultural, fishery, and forestry business operators who had resided in Gyeongbuk Province for more than one year, and provided 300,000 KRW each to 5,627 farms and fishing households.
The second half payment will be made to those farms and fishing households who maintained eligibility from the first half. Unlike general gift certificates, which are restricted from use at franchises with annual sales exceeding 3 billion KRW, these certificates can be used freely as before.

Kim Ki-dong, Director of the Agriculture and Livestock Division, said, “With rising costs of agricultural materials, abnormal weather, and heavy rains increasing difficulties for farms, we hope that the Farmer and Fisherman Allowance will provide some support to agricultural and fishing households.” He added, “The administration will continue efforts to stabilize farmers’ incomes and revitalize the local economy.”
