[Toc! Appliances] 'Navien Condensing ON AI' Achieves Green Innovation
Annual Water Savings of 20 Tons for a Family of Four
Kyungdong Navien is researching products that enhance energy efficiency and create a comfortable Earth and living environment. A representative technology is 'Condensing,' developed in 1988. Condensing boilers recover heat hidden in exhaust gases and utilize it for heating and hot water. Thanks to this, using a condensing boiler reduces nitrogen oxides (NOx), the main cause of fine dust, by 87% annually compared to conventional boilers, and carbon monoxide, an air pollutant, by 70.5%. Moreover, it contributes to lowering the Earth's temperature by reducing carbon dioxide emissions, which cause the greenhouse effect and accelerate global warming.
Condensing boilers, which record a high energy efficiency of over 92%, reduce gas consumption by up to 28.4% compared to conventional boilers. According to the Ministry of Environment, compared to conventional boilers with a thermal efficiency in the low 80% range and an energy efficiency rating of grade 4, users can save approximately 440,000 KRW annually on gas bills.

Kyungdong Navien recently launched the hot water-centered boiler 'Navien Condensing ON AI.' This product reduces the amount of wasted water through rapid hot water supply while suppressing the generation of air pollutants with high energy efficiency, earning recognition as an eco-friendly product. Equipped with the 'Hot Water Ready System,' this product quickly preheats the water in the hot water piping through a circulation valve (Hot Water Ready Valve), enabling hot water use within 10 seconds?93% faster than conventional boilers. As a result, approximately 13.7 liters of water, which was previously wasted while waiting for hot water to reach the desired temperature per use, can be saved. This corresponds to 20 tons annually for a family of four.
