View original imageOn the 6th, the Financial Supervisory Service appointed popular YouTuber 'Shuka' (real name: Jeon Seok-jae) as a financial education ambassador.
Shuka is the operator of the YouTube channel 'Shuka World,' which has 2.77 million subscribers, and is gaining public popularity by explaining difficult economic and financial topics in an entertaining way. The Financial Supervisory Service explained that Shuka's role and image align with the financial education efforts the agency is carrying out to protect consumer rights.
Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, said, "We expect Shuka to help many citizens understand the importance of financial education and to take an interest in various educational programs."
Shuka stated, "I will do my best to make it easier and more widely known that finance is not difficult and is a field anyone can understand, so that no financially marginalized consumers are left behind."
