Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station Conducts Inspection on Hazardous Materials Management in Bathhouses
On the morning of the 6th, Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station conducted an inspection of hazardous materials management at bathhouses in the Buk-gu area.
This inspection was carried out to prevent similar fires following a series of recent bathhouse fires. The inspection targeted five bathhouse businesses in Buk-gu that use hazardous materials to check the management status of hazardous material facilities.
Through the inspection, the fire department checked ▲ compliance with location, structure, and equipment facility standards under the Hazardous Materials Safety Control Act ▲ appointment and work status of hazardous materials safety managers ▲ storage and handling of hazardous materials at suspended manufacturing sites ▲ appropriateness of safety measures at suspended manufacturing sites, and no notable issues were found.
Additionally, the fire department plans to conduct hazardous materials management inspections and safety consulting within the period and will urge related personnel to prevent recurrence and emphasize the necessity of safety management through guidance on similar cases.
