Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital and Seeus Technology Join Hands for Smart Medical System
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on the 5th that it recently signed a business agreement with Cearth Technology Co., Ltd., a digital healthcare specialized company providing medical artificial intelligence services.
The signing ceremony was attended by Hospital Director Jeong Yong-yeon, Medical Director Kim In-young, Secretary General Ji Young-woon, Planning Director Jo Seong-beom, and Cearth Technology CEO Lee Young-shin, among others.
Kang Dae-hee, Professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine and Head of the Future Medical Research Group at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, and Beom Hee-seung, Advisory Committee Chairman (Director of Hwasun County Nursing Hospital), joined to support research and development and technology exchange cooperation between the two institutions.
Preparing to become a future-oriented cancer specialty hospital, Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital plans to collaborate through this agreement on the development of smart medical systems related to wearable medical devices, medical artificial intelligence, remote patient monitoring, and non-face-to-face medical care.
Additionally, the two institutions will cooperate on ▲various clinical studies and demonstration projects to verify the clinical efficacy, user convenience, and economic feasibility of smart medical systems for outpatients and inpatients throughout admission and discharge ▲joint collaboration in national and local government research and development projects ▲shared use of equipment and facilities, exchange and education of research and development personnel ▲joint cooperation to support commercialization of collaborative research and development ▲joint participation and hosting of international conferences, seminars, and academic meetings.
CEO Lee Young-shin said, “Taking this agreement as an opportunity with Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, the best cancer specialty hospital, we will further develop and exemplary implement the smart hospital construction projects we have carried out with various hospitals.”
Hospital Director Jeong Yong-yeon stated, “The values and business content pursued by Cearth Technology are among the most necessary projects for future medicine. Future medical care must be possible using AI and robots. I hope this agreement will serve as a stepping stone for our hospital to advance as a smart hospital.”
