The KOSPI index is slightly down as institutional selling pressure continues.
As of 9:22 a.m. on the 5th, the KOSPI index was recorded at 2,583.62, down 0.93 points (0.04%) from the previous trading day. Individuals and foreigners net bought approximately 44.9 billion KRW and 14.7 billion KRW respectively, while institutions net sold about 57.6 billion KRW.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Hyundai Motor (-0.64%), Samsung Electronics (-0.42%), and NAVER (-0.24%) declined, while POSCO Holdings (1.36%), LG Chem (1.02%), and Samsung SDI (0.98%) rose.
By sector, securities (-0.64%), transportation equipment (-0.45%), machinery (-0.43%), and construction (-0.37%) fell. Conversely, steel & metals (0.99%), textiles & apparel (0.95%), and distribution (0.45%) increased.
As of 9:28 a.m. on the same day, the KOSDAQ index traded at 917.10, down 2.06 points (0.22%) from the previous session. Individuals bought about 83 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions sold approximately 60.2 billion KRW and 12.3 billion KRW respectively.
