Busan Dong-gu Responds to Bathhouse Fire... Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters Activated
Busan Dong-gu has activated the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to manage the aftermath of the bathhouse fire accident.
According to Dong-gu on the 2nd, the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters is composed of more than 30 personnel across 13 practical teams, including the Disaster Situation Management Team and the Facility Emergency Recovery Team, with Deputy District Mayor Kim Juwon serving as the head. The headquarters will be responsible for overall accident response, emergency recovery, and resident protection.
Earlier, at around 1:40 PM on the 1st, a fire accompanied by two explosions occurred in the basement level 1 of a four-story bathhouse building in Dong-gu, Busan.

As a result of the secondary explosion, a total of 24 people were injured, including Dong-gu Mayor Kim Jinhong, who went to inspect the disaster site as the disaster manager, three district office employees, 10 firefighters, three police officers, and six residents.
