Grand Opening of the 2023 Jeju International Marine Leisure Expo
Diverse Exhibitions, Experiences, and Discussions Until the 3rd
The 4th Jeju International Marine Leisure Expo grandly opened on the 1st at the Jeju International Convention Center under the main theme of "Sustainable Marine Innovation, Finding New Hope in the Sea."
This expo, running until the 3rd, offers various exhibitions and experiential events showcasing the current status and future development of Jeju's marine leisure industry, providing valuable information to Jeju residents and tourists.

The opening ceremony was attended by over 3,000 people from about 50 domestic and international organizations, including Kim Hee-hyun, Executive Vice Governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Kim Seung-jun, Jeju Provincial Council member, Oh Soon-moon, Deputy Superintendent of Jeju Office of Education, Yoon Tae-yeon, Chief of Seogwipo Police Station, and Ha Min-cheol, Chairman of the Expo Organizing Committee.
Starting with a talk concert by singer Lee Jung, the morning session featured "Trends in Global Marine Sports Tourism," and in the afternoon, a conference on developing Jeju sports tourism content was held with a presentation by Professor Kwon Woong of Jeju National University.
The expo features exhibitions by marine leisure-related organizations and companies and overseas promotional booths in the Yeongju Hall of the Jeju International Convention Center. In the lobby on the first floor of Yeoeido, indoor marine leisure experiences such as mini yacht making and VR windsurfing viewing are available. At Yeoeido Plaza, outdoor experiences with RC boats and RC submarines are offered.
On the first day of the expo, Professor Kwon Woong of Jeju National University, the second conference presenter, is giving a presentation on the topic of 'Development of Jeju Sports Tourism Content.'

On the 2nd, experiential events will proceed as on the first day, and from 1 p.m., a marine leisure fashion show will be held along with a humanities lecture on the past and future of the sea from a humanities perspective by Sun Kim, a recently popular broadcaster.
Meanwhile, the Jeju International Marine Leisure Expo has been held annually in Jeju since 2020 to promote marine leisure tourism. The scale was reduced in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, but last year it was held normally as an in-person event.
