Jindo-gun Hosts 'Our Seafood Consumption Activation' Event with Participation of 4 Organizations
Mokpo Mayor Park Hong-ryul, Joint Response to Revitalize Seafood Consumption
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do held an event to promote the safety of seafood and stimulate consumption titled ‘Activation of Our Seafood Consumption’.
According to the county on the 31st, this event was conducted to alleviate residents' concerns caused by the recent discharge of contaminated water from Fukushima, Japan, and to minimize the damage to fishermen due to reduced consumption.
Four organizations participated in the "Our Seafood Consumption Activation" event held at Jindo Fish Market to promote the safety of seafood and encourage consumption.

Visiting Jindo Seafood Market located in Jindo-eup, four organizations including Jindo-gun, Jindo Fisheries Cooperative, Mokpo City, and Mokpo Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office participated to create an atmosphere for activating the consumption of our seafood.
They listened to the difficulties faced by fishermen and seafood vendors who are going through hardships and encouraged them to overcome the current situation together.
Additionally, participants toured Jindo Seafood Market and directly purchased seafood to encourage seafood consumption.
A representative from the Economic Energy Division of Jindo-gun stated, “We hope this event will help those working in the fisheries industry and small business owners who are struggling due to the recent decline in seafood consumption. We will do our best to activate the consumption of our seafood.”
