Pay Just 8,800 KRW More Monthly to Access All Terrestrial and General Programming Content... LG U+ 'Premium Transfer Subscription'
Watch all 7 broadcasters for the price of 1 monthly subscription
Choose a broadcaster daily depending on the content
Cheaper than OTT subscription fees
LG Uplus announced on the 31st that it will be the first in the industry to launch the ‘Premium Transfer Subscription’ (hereinafter referred to as Transfer Subscription) plan, which allows users to watch popular broadcast content VOD with a single subscription plan. Transfer Subscription is a new U+tv subscription product that enables access to over 110,000 broadcast contents from major broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS, JTBC, TV Chosun, Channel A, MBN) under one subscription plan.
Starting next month, by paying an additional 8,800 KRW on top of the monthly 16,500 KRW U+tv Premium plan, users can subscribe to the Transfer Subscription (25,300 KRW per month, with internet bundle + 3-year contract) and watch broadcast content from the three terrestrial broadcasters and four general programming channels as a single monthly VOD subscription fee. In particular, Transfer Subscription offers the advantage of allowing users to watch over 110,000 broadcast contents scattered across existing OTT platforms at a price lower than typical OTT subscription fees.
Previously, LG Uplus upgraded U+tv to ‘U+tv next 2.0,’ optimized for OTT viewing. U+tv next 2.0 is available to customers using UHD3/UHD4/Soundbar Black set-top boxes, and the Transfer Subscription plan is also available to customers using these set-top boxes. It is scheduled to be applied to UHD2 and existing Soundbar users within this year. LG Uplus plans to continuously introduce new products that innovate the viewing experience for customers, including U+tv next 2.0 and Transfer Subscription.
