Hampyeong Police Conduct Special Security Activities to Prevent Abnormal Motive Crimes
The Hampyeong Police Station in Jeollanam-do announced on the 29th that it is conducting special security activities to alleviate the growing social anxiety caused by a series of recent crimes with unusual motives, allowing local residents to live in peace.
Accordingly, five areas including Hampyeong Cheonjigil (Dulle-gil) within the jurisdiction have been designated as multi-crowded areas for special security activities, and flexible and intensive patrols are being carried out in cooperation with local governments, autonomous crime prevention squads, and the Marine Corps Veterans Association.
In particular, to protect socially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and women, joint civilian-police night patrols are conducted along Hampyeong Cheonjigil to proactively prevent crimes with unusual motives, addressing the sources of anxiety among local residents.
