The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will operate an 'Infectious Disease Prevention Management Consulting' program targeting elementary, middle, high, and special schools in the province until the 8th of next month.
During this period, the Office of Education will conduct on-site inspections of quarantine preparations and operations at a total of 43 schools, including 15 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, 13 high schools, and 3 special schools within the province.
The main inspection items include ▲establishment of school quarantine plans ▲management of quarantine resources and separate spaces ▲disinfection and ventilation ▲management of cafeterias and dormitories ▲education and promotion of preventive measures for students, parents, and staff.
The Office of Education plans to immediately correct any issues identified through this self-inspection and to supplement difficulties experienced at schools through consulting at the education (support) office level.
Sung Jeong-hyun, Director of the Physical Education and Health Division at the Office of Education, stated, "We will strengthen infectious disease management to protect students and staff from threats such as COVID-19, ensuring that schools can maintain their normal functions."
