Starting 4 strokes behind in 2nd place, Jang Yu-bin combined 1 eagle, 9 birdies, 2 bogeys, and 1 double bogey. On the 16th hole (par 5), his third shot around the green went straight into the hole for an eagle, bringing him up to a tie for first place. At the 18th hole, he showed concentration by sinking a par putt of about 6.5 meters. In the playoff, he secured the victory by making a bogey with a '3-on 2-putt'.
Jang Yu-bin said, "I am happy to win at a tournament I never expected. Today feels like a flash passing before my eyes." He added, "I now believe I can do it, and I will use this victory as a stepping stone to achieve good results at the Hangzhou Asian Games." Jang Yu-bin is a strong amateur selected along with Jo Woo-young for next month's Hangzhou Asian Games. As professional players, Im Sung-jae and Kim Si-woo, who are active on the PGA Tour, were selected based on world rankings. Jang Yu-bin plans to turn professional and join the Korean Tour after the Asian Games. This year, he won twice on the KPGA Srixon (2nd division) Tour and has now also claimed a title in a Korean Tour event.
