Myeong Chang-hwan Inaugurated as the 43rd Vice Governor of Jeonnam Province on the 28th
Myeong Chang-hwan, former head of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 10·29 Disaster Victims Support Team, will assume office as the 43rd Vice Governor of Jeollanam-do on the 28th.
The new Vice Governor Myeong, a native of Goheung, graduated from Suncheon High School and Chonnam National University, and entered public service in 1995 through the first local civil service examination.
He has experience in various fields of local administration, including serving as Director of the Safety and Administration Bureau of Jeollanam-do, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office, and Deputy Mayor of Suncheon City. He also has extensive central government experience, having served as Director of the Address Policy Division and Director of the Regional Community Division at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, as well as head of the 10·29 Disaster Victims Support Team.
He is well known for his passion for work, excellent execution skills, outstanding planning ability, and inclusive leadership through communication. He is expected to successfully promote the core policies of the 8th elected provincial government.
Vice Governor Myeong stated, "Since every task has its timing, I will devote all my efforts to laying the foundation for Jeollanam-do's future 100 years with the attitude of 'Mulsilho-gi (勿失好機)', meaning not to miss a good opportunity given to us."
He also emphasized the importance of pursuing three key principles together: 'changing the way of working,' 'communication and cooperation,' and 'integrity and fairness.'
